The Group B elimination match saw Dignitas defeat FURIA in two maps, 16-8 on Inferno and 19-17 on Mirage, to keep their hopes of making the New Challanger Stage alive.
The match between FURIA and Dignitas for survival in the Americas Minor kicked off on Inferno, with the Brazilian team taking the first pistol round on the attacking side, although it was Dignitas who took the first gun round after a successful B retake. It didn't take long for Dignitas to establish their superiority, only giving up two more rounds during the half for a 10-5 partial.
The second half of Inferno started off with Dignitas taking the second pistol round and smoothing out the road for a first map win. Despite losing the first gun round and the following two, the North Americans were able to close the first map out, 16-8.
Mirage kicked off with Dignitas taking the lead, 3-0 on the attacking side, but were unable to close a 2vs2 afterplant on A to take the first gun round. In a solid team effort, FURIA took a heavy lead early on in the half, 7-3, but ended up winning it only marginally, 8-7, before the half.
After switching sides, Dignitas tied it up after foiling a play on B by the Brazilian team and taking the second pistol round. Now with the momentum on their side, Dignitas took advantage of an uninspired T-side from FURIA, getting ahead 14-8 as the Brazilians tried to find their way. Finally, a big round from Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato with three kills, two of them in a 2vs2 afterplant, got FURIA rolling again.
Soon, the six round gap became a two round gap with Dignitas going into a forcebuy with four CZ75s and a saved M4. Having allowed FURIA to get within one, Dignitas called a timeout and stopped the Brazilians, to get on match point, but were then unable to seal the deal as FURIA pulled it back even after 30 rounds.
The overtime then went down to the line, as after four rounds the scoreboard read 17-17. Dignitas were able to take the lead into the final round, and this time around were also able to close the map and match out, 19-17, to stay alive in the Americas Minor.
